Notes, Commentary, Restoration: 
One of the prized articles of the entire collection on exhibit, as desired and rare as the pre WW2 signals is the East German pedestrian crossing signal.  The symbolic men were especially designed to reinforce communist values.  I was lucky to obtain this one reasonably priced direct from Germany with the added bonus of having lens insert masks instead of painted lenses and the seller included a set of West German style doors, lenses, and masks.
