Notes,
Commentary, Restoration:
This is a fairly common pushbutton, used in pedestrian actuated intersections. It had served some time on the streets, however it was still in very good condition. This pushbutton is recent, but not modern. While it features a rubber knob instead of a small metal button to actuate it, still it is not friendly to the disabled. These switches require too much force to press the button and provide only a small area to depress. They are being phased out in favor of the much larger buttons that take little force to actuate. This specific button has been stripped to bare metal and repainted in Crouse-Hinds Green.
