Vintage Traffic Signal Bar Lamp

These were a popular novelty in the 60's-70's when the home bar popularity was at its peak. Using flashlight-size bulbs the lamps ran off standard 110v power. A rotary knob on the base gives the ability to turn off the signal or announce if you're open, closing soon, or closed. The signals themselves are well detailed. While not identified as a single brand the styling is classic of many of the early porthole style signals. Finished in a glossy, baked-enamel green with gold chrome highlights the lamp is an impressive piece that matches any decor. The base is heavily weighted to keep it upright long after the patrons cannot. This lamp was found as a new-old stock item, having never been unpackaged before its display here.
